Welcome to Classroom Music

Welcome to Classroom Music at Fairview Elementary!

From Preschool to Grade 6, all students attend Elementary Classroom Music, where they learn fundamental music concepts and apply this knowledge in many activities - listening, performing and creating.

Students in grades K-5 receive one hour of instruction per week, presented in two thirty-minute classes. Sixth graders receive one thirty-minute class per week; most also choose to receive additional music instruction by joining 6th grade band & orchestra. I also encourage students in grades 2 through 6 to participate in Fairview's choir, the Singin' Eagles! 

We perform an all-school winter concert in December and students in grades 3-6 have the opportunity to participate in our annual talent show in the spring.  This year Fairview has a rock band group that meets on Fridays and will have a concert at the end of the year.
