Vendor Information
-
In FPCS, families are free to select vendors providing goods and services for their students' education. However, it is the responsibility of the family to thoroughly evaluate the vendors, the content of their tutoring or teaching, and ensure it aligns with their student's needs. FPCS does not endorse any specific service vendor.
State Law prohibits payments to any instructor/tutor that is a family member of the student (spouse, guardian, parent, step-parent, step sibling, grandparent, step grandparent, child, uncle or aunt). ASD SBP 7258.3(b) and Anchorage Municipality Code 1.15.025(e).
ASD Approved Educational Service Vendor
These approved educational service providers offer tutoring and lessons locally and have undergone a vetting process, including background checks, fingerprinting and business license validation. They have an Educational Service Agreement (ESA) with Family Partnership Correspondence School, allowing them to directly bill the school for services, which is convenient for families as it eliminates out-of-pocket expenses and waiting for reimbursement.
General Vendors
General vendors are all other parent-choice vendors for curriculum, books, supplies, online courses, etc. With the exception of a few recurring item orders, these vendors may be entered in the system as reimbursement or requisition.
