Normal Bell Schedule
- If you want to go out for a sport/activity you must get a golden ticket. There is a collection of them on Mrs. Huffer’s door. Go see Mrs. Huffer to be eligible.
- Lost & Found is overflowing again! Clothing, water bottles, lunch boxes and more. Please come see if any of these items belong to you. Lost and found is located right outside Student Services (across from the Library). All items will be donated on Friday 2/29!
- FCCLA Members: Room #101/102 will be open ALL WEEK between 2-5 to work on State Conference STAR Events. Please come in and get registered and receive your Rubrics for the Event.
- CHS & ERHS's production of 7 Brides for 7 Brothers opens THIS Thursday! Tickets are $15 each and will be available at the door. Shows will be Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 7 pm with a special Matinee showing this Saturday at 2 pm. Don't miss out!
- This Friday Feb. 28th and March 3rd at the beginning of lunch there will be a boys soccer meeting just outside the Activity office.
- ASD is hosting the Battles of School Spirit on Friday, March 6. Similar to WACKO, it is an OUTDOOR competition among ASD high schools. If you would like to represent CHS, please see Mrs. Portie in Room 178. Please see flyers around the school for a list of games and more information.
- Calling CHS teens 13-17 who want to make our home planet a better place. You are invited to collaborate with the Smithsonian Institution and the Anchorage Museum to address climate change in Anchorage and propose youth-led solutions as part of the Teen Earth Optimism Summit. Space is limited. Sign up now. The summit is free and will take place at the Anchorage Museum from 8a.m.-1p.m on Saturday, March 14th. - Jostens will be here Monday from 9am-1pm handing out cap/gowns in the cafeteria.
- Seniors: If you speak another world language and are not in a World Language class at CHS, please see Frau Senden in room 201 about taking a test and possibly qualifying for a Seal of Biliteracy on your diploma. We offer tests to students who are proficient in Amharic, Arabic, Armenian, ASL, Chin, Chinese, Czech, French, German, Haitian-Creole, Hebrew, Hindi, Hmong, Ilocano, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latin, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Samoan, Somali, Spanish, Tagalog, Tamil, Thai, Turkish, Urdu, Vietnamese, and Yupik. Again, see Frau Senden with all your questions, but we would like you to test before Spring Break.
- 10th, 11th & 12th Graders: Sign up for a free practice SAT & ACT, brought to you by the Chugiak High School counseling team. After taking a full-length practice SAT/ACT released by the test maker, you will get a detailed score report with a roadmap to score improvement, plus guidance on whether to focus on the SAT or ACT. This semester, Chugiak High School is hosting the following events:
- Practice ACT on Friday, March 6 from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Check-in will begin at 8:30 AM. Please arrive by 8:55 AM. Room TBA.
- Practice SAT on Saturday, March 21 from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Check-in will begin at 8:30 AM. Please arrive by 8:55 AM. Room TBA.

- CHS Students it is time to show your talent! The annual Talent Show auditions will be after Spring Break on Wednesday, March 25 at 2:15pm. Please start thinking about something you would like to share! See any World Language teacher for information and to get signed up.
