About Us

  • Alpenglow Elementary, Home of the Snow Leopards, is located on the traditional lands of the Dena’ina People in Alaska’s scenic Eagle River Valley—nestled between JBER and Chugach State Park. Our school name reflects the beautiful rosy glow that bathes the snowy mountains at sunrise and sunset.

We are a proud neighborhood school with a unique blend of civilian and military families, creating a diverse and supportive community within the Anchorage School District (ASD).

At Alpenglow, we foster confident learners through inclusive, engaging, and student-centered instruction. Strong relationships among staff, students, and families foster a positive school climate where academic, social, and emotional growth can thrive.

Our greatest strength stems from our dedicated educators, active parent involvement, and a variety of enrichment and support opportunities offered during and after school. Together, we create a welcoming and vibrant learning environment at Alpenglow.
