If a student appears ill at school, we will contact parents or emergency contacts before excusing the student. For minor injuries, first aid is provided by the school nurse or trained staff. Parents will be notified if further care is recommended.

• In life-threatening emergencies or if a student needs urgent care and a parent can’t transport them safely, paramedics will be called.

•  

• Students showing symptoms of a contagious illness will be sent home and may return when symptoms are gone, or with clearance from a doctor or public health authority.

•  

• Parents are encouraged to connect with the school nurse to discuss any special health concerns.

When to Keep Your Child Home from School
