Make-Up Procedures for Absences:

Work is not excused when a student is absent. It must be made up, with few exceptions - see: make-up request below. 

Students will be granted one day of make-up privilege for each day of absence. This is the case with unexpected illness or short term absences of less than 5 days total.

When a family knows in advance that their student will be absent from school for five (5) or more days, a make-up request should be made through the school office. The actual work assigned for grading is at the discretion of the teacher (italics mine, Student Handbook, p I-1).
