Eligibility Testing

Referrals and requests for eligibility evaluation can be made by parents or school staff. Eligibility criteria vary between our different programs. For further information, please contact the Gifted Program main office or the Gifted Program staff member serving your school.
Highly Gifted Program Summer Testing Information
Testing for the Highly Gifted Program at Rogers Park Elementary, Romig Middle School, and West High School
is available for:
- In-district students who are currently in grades K-5th for the 25/26 school year
- New-to-district students in grades K-12th for the 25/26 school year
Kindergarten families: Please note that your child must be able to read short passages and answer basic reading comprehension questions.
Our Gifted Identification Team will contact families the week of July 14th to schedule testing sessions, which will take place the weeks of July 28th and August 4th at Rogers Park Elementary School.

The testing team conducts Universal Screeners for 2nd grade students as part of an equitable identification process. The team also administers achievement and ability tests for students referred to the IGNITE or Highly Gifted programs at ASD schools. Parents who are interested in learning more information about referring their student to the Gifted Program should contact the IGNITE teacher at their child's school.
